WINNIPEG - Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew says a preliminary search of a Winnipeg landfill for the remains of a victim of a serial killer has started.

Kinew says the province is in the test phase of the search at the city-run Brady Road landfill for the remains of Ashlee Shingoose.
