NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - People living in East Nashville are raising concerns after they believe an arsonist has been intentionally setting fires in the back alleys of their neighborhoods.

Multiple witness accounts of fires starting in trash cans and porta-potties in different alleyways has led to damage not limited to the places they started.

The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) could not advise if they’re investigating a possible arsonist in the area, but neighbors are are sharing eerily similar accounts of different incidents over the past week.

“Looked in my backyard and there’s flames billowing over my fence, which is a big wooden fence,” Lockeland Springs resident David Clauss said.
