MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man has been formally charged with murder two months after he allegedly showed up armed at a Memphis tire shop and fired at employees after a police report was filed on his mom for pepper-spraying the owner.
Tony Curry, 29, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
Curry was officially booked on Wednesday. His bond has not yet been issued.
According to the arrest affidavit, Memphis police responded to Tires Llantas on Winchester Road in response to a shooting on June 13.
Upon arrival, officers found the shop’s owner, Shaton Cobb, dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.
They also found another employee who had been shot in her legs. She was sent to the hosp
