Arizona’s junior U.S. senator didn’t take many questions at an Aug. 12 event in Chandler, but he managed to cover much ground in his responses.
Sen. Ruben Gallego took questions from Salt River Project lobbyist Alan Eder and one from the audience at the “Federal Focus with Sen. Gallego” luncheon, hosted by the Queen Creek, Gilbert and Chandler chambers of commerce and held at Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s Pecos campus.
One of the topics Gallego touched on was the “brain drain” and what he said is a decline of interest in foreign students, researchers and business leaders getting educated or doing work in the U.S., due to recent decisions.
