Most questions directed toward Virginia Tech athletic director Whit Babcock in recent interviews have revolved around money. First they were about name, image and likeness, commonly referred to as NIL. Then the questions shifted to the House v. NCAA settlement and student-athletes receiving direct revenue sharing payments from universities. And it has continued with the ACC’s unequal revenue sharing model that kicks in this academic year.

Babcock is taking those topics and presenting how money will play a vital role in the future of the athletic programs during a Monday meeting with the university’s Board of Visitors.

Babcock will headline Session 3 titled, “The Future of Athletics,” over nearly two hours as part of a full first day of meetings at the Pete Dye River Course.
