If you’ve noticed more whirring wheels and silent zooms around Vancouver Island lately, you’re not imagining it. E-bikes are everywhere, as are e-bike share programs.

Langford’s got one, along with Nanaimo, Courtenay and Comox. And now, Victoria is finally gearing up for its own bike share program.

“It’s a natural fit,” says Leanne Buhler, head of Evolve, the B.C.-based e-bike share company created by BCAA. “They’ve got great infrastructure, and a super engaged population of people who already ride bikes.”
