(FOX40.COM) — Due to the I-80 and US 50 Rehabilitation Project, Caltrans notified drivers of a new traffic configuration on the westbound US highway in Yolo County. •Video Above: What causes traffic jams?

Traffic will split into two lanes beginning west of Jefferson Boulevard. The right and left lanes will be restored through lanes across the Yolo Causeway. To access Harbor Boulevard and EB1-80- exists, drivers should stay to the right, Caltrans said.

After the 50/80 interchange, WB I-80 traffic will merge into the third lane near Enterprise Boulevard. The fourth lane will exit at West Capitol Avenue. According to Caltrans, the new configuration will maintain three through the westbound lanes to the Causeway.
