ALLEN PARK — Here are some observations from Day 13 of Detroit Lions training camp on Wednesday.
• The Lions dominated the first day of joint practices against the Dolphins, full stop. The offense dominated; the defense dominated; even punter Jack Fox put a ball out of bounds at the 2-yard line. It was a bloodbath. The first teams took a majority of reps, since joint practices are in some way a substitute for playing in preseason.

• We’ll start with the offense. Receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and quarterback Jared Goff were the stars of the day. St. Brown began the day by toasting veteran Dolphins cornerback Jack Jones in multiple one-on-one reps. His best was a stutter-and-go down the field that left Jones scrambling from the second he left the line of scrimmage.
