STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island firefighter is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a colleague on Aug. 8 at the Rescue 5 firehouse in Concord.

According to the criminal complaint, Christopher Mullin, 53, of Hoyt Avenue in West Brighton, pulled a chair out from under the unnamed victim, causing him to fall and strike his head and left arm on the ground.

The altercation escalated when Mullin allegedly struck the 62-year-old victim multiple times with closed fists before using a chair to deliver an additional blow to the body, police say.
