KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Epson Tour will be coming back to Tennessee for the first time since 1991. The tour will be hosted at Green Meadow Country Club in Alcoa.
“Our golf course will yield some low scores. I mean, I’m sure the ladies will play well here,” general manager at Green Meadow Jeff Curtis said.
Green Meadow Country Club has been in Alcoa for 100 years. Curtis said the course is in great condition for high-level professional play.
“We’re going to have the golf course in the best condition we can. Bermuda grass is on our greens and fairways so come August it’s going to be good and lush. The rough will be grown in and full,” Curtis said.
The tour comes back to Tennessee in an area that is known for supporting women’s athletics for decades.
