SNOW HILL, N.C. (WITN) - Congressman Don Davis was back in his hometown of Snow Hill on Wednesday, where he also previously held the role of Mayor, getting an update on the police force.

In a meeting with town officials, including Mayor Dennis Liles, Police Chief Josh Smith and Town Manager April Vinson, Davis says he discussed challenges of the police department and the path forward.

His visit comes just months after the Snow Hill board voted to dissolve the police department due to budgeting.

But with pressure from residents and Davis, the board reversed course.
