INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police confirm they are investigating a shooting incident involving officers.
It happened late Wednesday in the 2800 block of Indianapolis Avenue, which is just east of 28th and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. streets.
The search for the suspect in the incident is ongoing, police said. IMPD asked people to avoid the area if possible and stay indoors. Anyone who sees someone hiding or acting suspicious in the area is asked to call 911 immediately.
Police haven't offered any details about the incident, but said they were not aware of any injuries.
