AUSTIN, Texas — Seventeen people are injured after a school bus rolled over near Sandy Creek on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, officials received a call reporting the crash at around 3:15 p.m. According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred in the 22300 block of Nameless Road, near Palamino Ranch Drive and Honeycomb Lane.

A total of 42 children and one adult were on the bus when the crash occurred.

Twelve people – 11 children and the bus driver – were taken to the hospital immediately following the crash. Ten people were taken from the scene, while two more children were transported from the reunification center with minor injuries.
