ROSEVILLE, Calif. —
A Roseville youth theater instructor will have to register as a sex offender for 10 years after he was sentenced for misconduct with children.
The Placer County District Attorney's Office said that in 2024, David Williams began secretly filming girls in public spaces.
Eventually, officials said a 14-year-old girl noticed Williams following her and recording her. She reported it to the Roseville Police Department.
The district attorney's office said investigators found that Williams had followed and recorded at least 15 girls.
Officials said Williams was active in multiple youth groups and was an instructor at different places throughout the community.
He was convicted of a misdemeanor of annoying or molesting a child.
