CLAREMONT, N.C. — Catawba County Sheriff's Office narcotics investigators arrested two individuals Saturday following a traffic stop and subsequent search that uncovered more than 14 pounds of marijuana and other illegal substances.

David Enoch McClellan, 32, and Frances Leeanna McClellan, 51, were taken into custody.

During the traffic stop, investigators developed sufficient information to search the vehicle, discovering roughly 6.6 pounds of marijuana, one gram of methamphetamine, two dosage units of Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, along with drug paraphernalia and $511 in cash.

The investigation continued the same day with the execution of a search warrant at the McClellan residence in Claremont. The home search yielded an additional 7.99 pounds of marijuana, two guns, drug paraphernal
