DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Despite having a few student visas revoked last year on both sides of the river , local college officials are saying enrollment from international students is up.
At one point, 3 Augustana College students and 2 St. Ambrose University students had their visas revoked.
Across the country, the number of revoked visas reached into the thousands before the government backtracked .
St. Ambrose University Vice President for Strategic Growth, Marketing, and Digital Transformation, Toby Arquette, says their average is about a few dozen international students a year.
“On average, we bring in maybe 20 students a year, maybe 30 on the high end of international students,” Arquette says.
Despite the policies from the federal level, college officials say they see the
