FERGUSON — An Imo's employee in Ferguson stabbed a man this week who was asking for food at closing time, police said.

The employee, Jakob T. McKeage, was charged Wednesday with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence.

The victim was seriously injured when he was stabbed in his side Tuesday night. He was treated at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he received a blood transfusion, police said.

McKeage's bond was set at $100,000. He lives in the 600 block of Carson Road in Ferguson.

Ferguson police Officer Candace Woodard wrote in court documents that the victim asked for food at closing time. The employees told him there was no food, and McKeage told him to get a job, Woodard said.
