MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (FOX 56) — A new furry friend is ready to bring smiles to Montgomery County High School as students return to class Thursday. The high school also welcomes a new school counselor.
For the first time, Montgomery County High School will welcome a therapy dog into the school. Margo will be assisted by her handler and owner, Rachel Davis, who will join the staff at the high school as one of the newest school counselors.
Davis and Margo originally came from Camargo Elementary, where the pup got her name from the students there.
Right now, the duo live in Mount Sterling with Davis's family on their farm, where they raise cattle and sheep.
Davis said she is excited for her and Margo to lend a helping hand or paw to the students and staff at the high school. She said she sa
