CLEVELAND (WJW) - The Cleveland Animal Protective League is partnering with The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland to offer a free pet vaccine and microchip clinic this weekend.

The event is Saturday, Aug. 16, in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood, from noon to 3 p.m. at The Salvation Army Temple Corps Community Center, 17625 Grovewood Ave.

It will serve Cleveland residents on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to the first 100 pets between 6 months and 6 years old.

Dogs will be offered distemper/parvo combo and rabies vaccines. Cats will receive feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia combo and rabies shots. Microchipping will be available for both cats and dogs, provided at no cost by Cleveland Animal Care and Control.
