Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms have been dumping heavy rain on parts of New Jersey Wednesday evening, prompting the National Weather Service to issue flash flood warnings for multiple counties.

The first warning was issued for Burlington County shortly before 7 p.m. and expired as of shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Shortly before 7:20 p.m., another flash flood warning was issued for Hudson and Union counties which was set to expire at 8:45 p.m. However, as of 8:30 p.m. that warning was no longer in effect.

A separate warning for Essex and Hudson counties went out shortly before that was originally in effect until 9:15 p.m., but also had expired as of 8:30 p.m.
