The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 4:45 p.m. for Bedford, Fulton and Huntingdon counties.
"At 1:35 p.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," states the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
Locations impacted by the warning include New Enterprise, Osterburg, Waterfall, Rockhill Furnace, Wells Tannery, Dudley, Coaldale, St. Clairsville, Cessna, Saxto
