Lane Kiffin’s social media game is in mid-season form.

The Ole Miss coach trolled Auburn and coach Hugh Freeze after the Tigers offensive coordinator Derrick Nix explained the dynamic behind how plays will be called .

“I try to do a good job on first-and-10, drive-starters. (Quarterbacks coach) Kent Austin does our third downs,” Nix told AL.com . “Head coach has the authority to overrule anything we say or do.”

It sounds like Kiffin thinks there might be too many cooks in the kitchen.

“So does a 4th coach call 4th downs??” Kiffin asked on X.
