JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WCSC/WITN) - A 14-year-old from Berkeley County is facing charges in a shooting earlier this month in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The teen, whose name and photo were not released because of his age, was arrested Thursday morning by Jacksonville Police with the help of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, WITN-TV reported .

Authorities have not yet specified the charges the teen will face or provided details on a possible motive in the shooting.

Investigators said it happened at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 2 in the parking lot of the Jacksonville Mall.

The shooting sent a 19-year-old and two children to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police said their preliminary investigation found that the shooter was wearing a ski mask
