ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — Two people face drug charges following a traffic stop that uncovered multiple controlled substances and paraphernalia on FM 1442 between Bridge City and Orangefield.

Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies stopped the vehicle Aug. 12 and developed suspicions during the encounter. As deputies searched the vehicle, they discovered methamphetamines, cocaine, heroin, hydrocodone and trazodone hydrochloride in large quantities, according to police.

Deputies also discovered digital scales, resealable bags, smoking pipes and syringes inside the vehicle.

Both the driver and passenger were arrested on possession of controlled substance charges and taken to Orange County Jail. The passenger also had outstanding warrants out of Orange County.
