CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A convicted felon is behind bars after Cape Girardeau police allege he fired multiple shots within city limits.
45-year-old Curtis Farmer is charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.
According to court documents, the city’s ShotSpotter system detected seven shots around 9 p.m. on August 4.
Police searched Farmer’s home on Wednesday and say they found a loaded handgun with ammo that matched shell casings officers found at the site where the shots were fired.
He’s being held at the Cape Girardeau County jail on a $30,000 bond.
