The great British pudding is facing extinction as households are deserting desserts . English Heritage said that two-thirds of households make them just once a month or less, while a third never bake, boil or steam one.
The charity has found a " clear shift away from the traditional dessert " over the past 50 years. This is because households "no longer had as much time to cook and started to prioritise convenience " as more women entered the workforce.
