WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco teen was indicted Thursday in what investigators are calling a drug-related murder near an East Waco Drive restaurant in May.
A McLennan County grand jury indicted Jarvis Dominique Howard Jr., 19, on a murder charge in the May 15 shooting death of 30-year-old Jeromy Munoz. Howard has remained jailed under $750,000 bond since his arrest May 23.
Howard’s attorney, Darren Obenoskey, said Thursday he has not seen the evidence against Howard but added he looks forward to “helping Mr. Howard resolve this situation.”
According to arrest records, Howard and Munoz had been in contact by telephone and arranged a meeting in the parking lot of Church’s Chicken, 1325 E. Waco Drive. Munoz was killed and a 24-year-old man with him was wounded.
