RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The man shot at a motel in Raleigh late Wednesday night died from his injuries, police said Thursday.
Officers from the Raleigh Police Department responded to a shooting at the Days Inn in the 6600 block of Glenwood Avenue around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday. Once on scene, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died, according to Raleigh police. They identified him as 35-year-old Byron Bracey.
According to the Raleigh Police Department's preliminary investigation, the incident involved the man who was shot and an employee at the Days Inn. No charges have currently been filed.
