RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Eight people are facing more than 100 felony charges after a months-long investigation into drug activity in Raleigh, according to North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.
Investigators say drug deals were taking place in public areas, including convenience store parking lots. ALE investigative tactics include going undercover and conducting surveillance.
The investigation led agents to execute search warrants at two locations: a home on East Martin Street in downtown Raleigh and an apartment at Ridgewood Apartments on Raven Ridge Road.
“It’s long hours. It is hard work, but it is very rewarding when you can address a situation and get to the source of the problem to try to make it safer,” ALE Director Bryan House said.
