Jen Gehmair is hoping to represent the Yukon Party in the Marsh Lake-Mount Lorne-Golden Horn electoral district in this year’s territorial election.
Gehmair is currently the assistant deputy minister for Social Services within Yukon government, according to the employee directory. Her intention to run for the Yukon Party was announced via press release from the opposition party on Aug. 14.
According to the release, Gehmair has taken leave from her position to run for territorial politics.
Gehmair was born in Whitehorse and grew up in Marsh Lake, where she now lives with her husband and daughters, per the press release
The riding Gehmair seeks to run in is one of the districts which has had its borders redrawn: the riding was previously known as Mount Lorne-Southern Lakes. Now, the bord
