PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- CityLink held an in-person job fair Thursday in downtown Peoria as the agency works to fill a growing number of bus operator vacancies.
The event, hosted at CityLink’s new administrative office on Van Buren Street, ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and welcomed job seekers interested in both part-time and full-time roles.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet with hiring staff, learn about the application process and even participate in on-the-spot interviews.
CityLink General Manager Kofi Kisseh says the agency is currently short 13 bus drivers, creating a strain on operations and increasing the urgency to bring new hires on board.
