The Yolo County Fair seems to have found an “ag-citing” way of serving up the best local growers and businesses have to offer.
As Fairground rides got underway, hundreds of people partied beneath a large outdoor tent at what has become one of the county’s premier events for sampling locally sourced food and drink.
Since its inception in the mid-2000s, the Wednesday evening Ag Gala has become the “opening act” of the historic Fair, with hundreds of people paying $35 each to sample the offerings of dozens of restaurants, wineries, breweries and growers.
Earlier in the day, another longtime tradition was also held when city and county offices closed their doors so workers could have lunch at the Fair.
