JUNIATA TERRACE, Pa. (WHTM) -- A Midstate community rooted in industry is preparing to celebrate its centennial.
This Saturday, the Borough of Juniata Terrace will be filled with activities, vendors, and much more as the Mifflin County town celebrates 100 years.
It'll take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, August 16 with a rain date of Saturday, August 23.
Activities and vendors are split between the grounds of the Lewistown Alliance Church and the football field, both on the northeast end of town.
The community was developed in 1925 by the American Viscose Corporation on a bluff above the plant.
