DES MOINES, Iowa -- Heat will continue to build into the weekend, with heat indices exceeding 100 degrees likely Friday through Sunday in the afternoon and early evening. A heat advisory goes into effect tomorrow.
Muggy conditions look to stick around into next week. There will also be storm chances at times.
Lows tonight will be warmer. There is a chance we'll see an isolated storm on Friday afternoon. But the best chances look to kick in late Sunday and continue into Tuesday. The slideshow below shows the late-day timing.
While I think we'll definitely see isolated heavier amounts, general totals from late Sunday into Wednesday look to be in the 0.1 - 0.8" range.
Highs for the next 6 days are above, and 7-day forecasts below. Have a great evening!
