SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Saratoga Springs officials will be voting whether or not to lower the city's speed limit next week. NEWS10’s Anthony Krolikowski went on patrol with the local police department to see just how fast drivers are going.
Their first stop was East Avenue with a 30 mph speed limit. It's one of the main roads leading to Saratoga Race Course. “And even to get downtown to avoid traffic so there’s a lot of people that cut through or use this road and we’ve had just recently we put out a speed on here; the neighbors had complained,” said Officer John Guzek.
“On average we’re getting what, 28 to 33 mph?” asked Krolikowski.
