PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Bureau of Transportation is set to extend parking enforcement hours starting Sept. 2 in the Downtown Portland Parking District, which includes downtown, Old Town and the Pearl District. Meters are currently enforced from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. The end time will be extended to 10 p.m. on all days.

It's the next step in a district-by-district expansion of paid parking hours that the city is rolling out over the back half of 2025, following a large hike to overall parking fees that went into effect July 1. Both changes were passed as part of the city's 2025-26 budget and are intended to help to close the Portland Bureau of Transportation's $38 million funding gap.
