LEWISBURG — A Mifflinburg man charged with having multiple pictures and videos of child pornography at his home in Lewis Township remains not competent enough to stand trial.

Following a brief hearing on Thursday, Union County Judge Michael Piecuch gave an additional 60 days to Aaron Reed Kahley, 35, of Wirth Road, Mifflinburg, and Public Defender Brian Ulmer. During those 60 days, efforts must be made to restore competency and move the case forward in the Court of Common Pleas.

Kahley was charged in July by state police with 10 counts of possessing child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility.
