NEW ORLEANS —
In New Orleans East on Lake Forest Boulevard, not far where it intersects with Read Boulevard, residents say a hole in the road is several months old, and it has become an unwelcome fixture of the neighborhood.
“It's typical for New Orleans East, but it's not, it's not good for us to normalize it. Some things need to change,” said one resident. Advertisement
“It needs to be fixed,” said another.
For long-time residents like Jim Ewers, the hole is a just part of a much bigger problem.
“This is an embarrassment and shameful, that we have to have this in our neighborhood,” said Ewers.
“We have buses traveling with school children here every day, we have RTA buses, we have emergency vehicles, we have the police, we have we the citizens traveling these roads.,” he continued
