WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Implementing a new half-percent sales tax has been a topic of conversation for lawmakers in Winnebago County, and on Tuesday, county executive Gordon Hintz is set to present the topic at a board of supervisors meeting.
If approved, the county’s sales tax would increase from 5% to 5.5%, matching other counties in our region.
Winnebago County is one of two counties in the state without a sales tax, the other being Waukesha County.
