Rain showers and some severe storms impacted the ArkLaMiss this afternoon and early evening. More rain and storm chances are on the way for Friday, so keep the umbrellas handy. By the weekend, rain will be less of a threat as high pressure continues to build into the region. Temperatures over the weekend will reach into the mid and upper 90s, similar to what we have experiences over the last week. Into next week, we will continue to experience lower rain chances and more heat and humidity. Overall, the August heat and humidity will continue for the ArkLaMiss.
