IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - When it comes to wide receivers at Iowa, Jacob Gill is the only returner that might pop off of the page statistically. The rest of the position group is in close competition with each other.

For the receiver’s coach, Jon Budmayr, this year is different.

“I think what’s fun about the group this year, compared to a year ago at this time, is the depth that’s been developed,” said Budmayr.

Budmayr said that everything in camp, has started with his seniors and graduate students.

“You want your best players to play their best and most of the time, those are going to be your veteran guys. So that part has been good,” said Budmayr.

Senior receiver, Seth Anderson, said that this being the second year in Tim Lester’s system has helped the group develop.
