MOLINE, Ill., (KWQC) - Trudy Appleby’s uncle, Ray Eddleman, is sharing his reaction after a man was indicted for the murder of Appleby.
Appleby was last seen on August 21, 1996 getting into the passenger side of an older model gray-colored vehicle with a man.
Appleby’s family and friends have never given up and have kept her memory alive and the case in the public eye.
Now, just a week before the 29th anniversary of her disappearance, his family is one step closer to closure.
50-year-old Jamison Fisher, once a person of interest, was formally indicted Thursday in Trudy’s murder.
“29 years is a lifetime. And he’s been free all this time and Trudy’s been dead,” Eddleman said.
