HENRY CO., Ill. (KWQC) - At a press conference on Thursday, police said 50-year-old Jamison Fisher was indicted in the death of 11-year-old Trudy Appleby.

When Appleby was reported missing from Moline in 1996, Fisher would have been about 22-years-old.

That day, police said Fisher kidnapped Trudy, strangled her and dumped her body.

But there are two other players , William “Ed” Smith and his son-in-law, David L. Whipple. They’re Fisher’s lifelong friends.

According to police, a witness saw Trudy with Smith in a silver sedan near Smith’s house on Campbell’s Island the day she disappeared.

Smith and Whipple both died and were never charged, leaving Fisher as the only person of interest still alive.
