TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A pedestrian died after being hit by several vehicles near Campbell and Irvington in Tucson early Thursday, Aug. 14.

The Tucson Police Department said the pedestrian’s name will not be released until their family is notified.

The TPD said the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when they were hit by a truck. The pedestrian was thrown into the other lanes and was hit by two more vehicles.

The TPD said the drivers of the three vehicles were not impaired or speeding. No citations or charges have been issued.

The pedestrian walking in the road was the major contributing factor in the accident. Any impairment by the pedestrian will be determined through medical records, according to the TPD.
