PHOENIX — The Phoenix Fire Department posthumously promoted a Phoenix firefighter to captain, the department announced on Thursday.
Adam Cauthron who had died in September 2024 after suffering an unspecified health emergency, the department announced after his death.
A ceremony at the Phoenix Fire Administration building took place on Aug. 8. Phoenix Fire Chief Mike Duran presented the posthumous honor.
Cauthron had 18 years of service and was on the “Captain’s List” before he died.
