LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo’s Mexican Consulate will hold a conference on August 16, providing Mexican citizens with the opportunity to obtain proper documentation, such as passports and identification.

The event will also feature organizers providing vital information and a health fair.

When asked if people should feel nervous about attending, given recent developments about immigration, officials stated that they can feel safe due to the location of the event.

According to Alicia Palacios with the Consul of Documentation, “This is part of the Mexican territory, you can’t be afraid to be in the Consulate, you can get all the information if you need for legal services. We can also provide you with a special interview to get more information about your specific case.”
