AUSTIN, Texas — A Georgetown Police Department officer faces a felony charge after allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a female victim while on-duty.

According to the Georgetown Police Department, a complaint was received on Aug. 1 alleging that Dylan Wright engaged in sexual activity with a female victim during a call while he was on-duty.

The incident occurred after the victim’s boyfriend had been arrested for family violence.

Wright was placed on administrative leave on Aug. 6 pending an investigation by the Georgetown Police Department with referral to the Texas Rangers. As a result of the investigation from the Rangers, Wright was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with Misuse of Official Information, a third-degree felony.
