(KFVS) - It’s shaping up to be a very hot weekend as an upper-level high develops over the mid-Mississippi Valley.

Brian Alworth says this high will also keep thunderstorm chances to a minimum, and even clouds may be few and far between.

Actual highs today look to be in the mid-90s, with 95-100 likely from the weekend into Monday.

Dew points have been dropping into the upper 60s during the afternoon due to mixing. Hopefully that will continue, which would limit heat index/feels like numbers a little.
