The new Computed Tomography scanner at the Owen Sound hospital is now operational.

Brightshores Health System announced on Friday that the new state-of-the-art CT scanner began to serve patients earlier in the week, and that over the coming days it will gradually ramp up to 100 per cent capacity.

The new scanner replaces the hospital’s old machine which was taken out of service earlier this summer.

Brightshores President and CEO Ann Ford said in a news release on Friday that the investment in advanced diagnostic technology is an important step in enhancing the care they provide.
