(WOWT) - The Husker football team will soon be “back in black” for the first time in years.

In a release Thursday, a spokesperson for Adidas shared plans for new, all-black uniforms for the team. They are set to be worn in their home game against USC on November 1.

Nebraska football shared the announcement in a social media post Friday morning, saying, “you can run, but you can’t hide.”

Adidas created the uniforms with inspiration from the “culture, legacy and traditions that make the University of Nebraska so unique,” the release states.

On Friday, the brand shared photos of Husker players showing off their new fits. The team has not worn an all-black uniform since its 2020 season, according to the release.
